'(Enter the Dragon).. Williams-kick'

2003 marked the 30th anniversary of Bruce Lee's masterpiece ..'Enter the Dragon'. A benchmark in movie history and Mr.Lee's true final completed movie. The film features Lee (Bruce Lee..durr), Roper (John Saxon), and Williams (Jim Kelly) ..Lee is undercover,Roper needs money and Williams is out to triumph as they all enter a renegade monk's elaborate fighting tournament that is actually part of a larger ruse for the monk;named Han..wealthy and incredibly evil ..Han is a powerful drug lord set to be taken down in the incredible and classic final 'Hall of Mirrors' show down between Han & Lee. Before that conflct;however.. Williams (Kelly) is wrongfully accused of prowling after hours by the villians and is sent to a fateful battle with the twisted monk.

William's is suave as hell ..kwirky, an over-confident ladies' man .. and an incredible martial artist..in the tournament and the powerful fight with Han..aside from Bruce Lee ..Williams became my favourite character in the show. And it made me despise the villian even more after his defeat. Aside from the history surrounding 'Enter the Dragon' ..it's just a damm fun movie. I love it so much. While Kelly had a small part in the 1972 movie 'Melinda' ..'Enter the Dragon' made him a star.(source :Bruce Lee Divine Wind )

Kelly starred in other films: "Black Belt Jones" (1974),"Take A Hard Ride" (1975),"Hot Potato" (1976), "Black Samurai" (1976), "Black Belt Jones II" (1978),"Black Eliminator"(1978),"One Down,Two to Go" (1982).. funny, fast, and sexy.. is all i can say.

Appearently he has continued other passions like tennis..and the martial arts.

This illustration ..the raw art work as well as the digital illustration took a week and a 1/2 ..my computer had been frying and crashing really bad as the digital file got bigger and bigger with collage elements of my own screen caps on-line images. As frustrating as it was..it's worth it. This is ..as it seems .. my little tribute to one of my favourite actors,characters.. and what i'd consider one of the greatest movies !!
