..illustration using this reference of the incredible and famous musician/songwriter ..

..this is amoung the many "warm-up" illustrations my design teacher has had his class do over the years..consisting of various mediums..depending on the class; various subjects (many subjects are classic photos of celebrities,authors and people of great note) as reference..there is a time limit on how long you are allowed to complete these illustrations. It had been a great many months scince i had worked on one of these. Above is the raw original i scanned minus any digital enhancements. This drawing was done within' an hour and fifteen minutes. Later i did digitally merge the drawing and the photo as seen here..
